Spirulina Smoothie Bowl

The colour of this smoothie may be a bit swampy, but don’t let this put you off! Spirulina, a blue-green microalgae, is one of nature’s superfoods and for good reason. Convincing research continues to reveal its impressive health benefits, including boosting energy levels, promoting the growth of healthy gut bacteria, and enhancing brain function. It’s widely available in health food stores and online - it’s time you treat yourself to some and get this in your morning smoothies! I personally love smoothie bowls as eating them with a spoon encourages slower eating/chewing to aid digestion, and you get to top it with loads of fun crunchy stuff!
