Bloat-busting Papaya and Pineapple Smoothie

When it comes to supporting gut health, in particular bloating and constipation, there are some superstar fruits we can focus on - papaya and pineapple being two of them. They contain enzymes papain and bromelain, respectively, that help the breakdown of dietary protein to aid digestion and alleviate feelings of discomfort after we eat. Keep a look out for these fruits in local markets and shops, and use them in this smoothie recipe or simply on top of your breakfast bowl (yoghurt, porridge, overnight oats etc).
